The Practice
What Dr. John treats
Every new patient starts with a two-hour exam. From there, care is planned around the whole mouth and the whole person, not one tooth at a time.
Treatments
Cavitations
When a tooth comes out, the socket should fill with healthy bone. Sometimes it closes over without healing underneath. Dr. John calls these cavitations; the research literature also uses terms such as FDOJ. He looks for them on 3D imaging, cleans them out surgically and helps the site heal.
Root canal teeth
Dr. John doesn't perform root canals. For patients with root-canal-treated teeth who want them assessed, he explains the options, including removing the tooth and helping the site heal, and the research behind his view.
Extractions done right
Most extractions leave behind the ligament that lined the socket, and leave the hole to heal on its own. Dr. John removes that lining, cleans the site and fills it, using minerals, collagen and the patient's own platelets, so it can heal into bone.
Mercury filling removal
Silver fillings are about half mercury. Dr. John removes them with protective protocols for the patient and the team, and replaces them with metal-free materials.
Restorations
Metal-free fillings and restorations, planned as part of the whole mouth rather than one tooth at a time.
Medical support
For surgery, Dr. John works with licensed medical partners who can prepare the body beforehand and support healing afterward. Medical care is provided under their licenses.
